giving to others is an act of self-love
Only what I give do I get to keep, and what I withhold shall be taken from me. Withholding my love is an act of self-betrayal, and giving to others is an act of self-love.
Today I will not be focused solely on myself, for my salvation lies in loving others. May I not obsess about my own concerns, when the concerns of so many others are greater. May I not be tempted to deny my good by denying it to others.
It is neither co-dependent nor sacrificial to love others as I love myself. Rather, it is the hallmark of enlightenment. Today I seek to love more deeply than I have loved before, that I might know the joy of using my mind for the purpose it was created to serve.
